The project focuses on the renovation of a 1960s villa and the addition of a new swimming pool. Originally conceived with a patio layout and an introverted character, the house organizes its living spaces around an inner garden, protected and intimate.
The introduction of the pool becomes an opportunity to redefine the southern portico, opening the house toward the external garden and creating a new continuity between inside and outside.
By removing the perimeter wall and introducing a light wooden screen with full height openable panels, the design establishes a dialogue between the two gardens—maintaining the villa’s sense of privacy and calm while enhancing its connection with the surrounding landscape and the new pool.
