The project concerns the construction of a new swimming pool and poolhouse, designed as an extension of an existing villa within a garden characterized by Mediterranean scrub vegetation.
The intention to respect the existing landscape without altering its nature guided the placement of the pool in a natural clearing, a long and narrow grassy area that directly inspired the pool’s shape.
The poolhouse, set perpendicular to the pool, is conceived as a light open portico with a thin metal roof clad in bamboo, suspended on two reinforced concrete walls that act as a gateway for those approaching from the villa.
A concrete wall defines the visual backdrop of the pool, concealing the outdoor shower area located behind it.
